After a good listen to blues-rock bands like Led Zeppelin a bit too much, a bit of blues was inspiring enough for this song. The first half, anyway. The second part was inspired by Tom Petty and Nirvana, and even though I really like Tom Petty, I hadn't listened to him in a while. The song still reflects a Tom Petty feel. The heaviness was because of Nirvana as well as a new interest in heavy metal that had arisen the previous year that was slowly making its way into what I do.
